Description

14.75"h x 17"w x 9"d. Iron, black, rectangular with rounded top. Flap on front covers letter slot, raised lettering reads "LIFT UP." Hinged door on proper left side pulls down to remove mail, hasp for padlock. Raised lettering on front at bottom "US MAIL," and lettering on sides "USM." Rectangular slot frame on front holds tin plate with black lettering: "HOURS OF COLLECTION DAILY EXCEPT SATURDAYS SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS A.M. 5:28 10:58 P.M. 3:35 5:13 SATURDAYS A.M. SAME AS OTHER WEEK-DAYS P.M. 4:58 SUNDAYS P.M. 4:02 HOLIDAYS A.M. 5:28 P.M. 4:02 AIR MAIL MAY BE DEPOSITED IN THIS BOX For any specific information Consult Post Office A FINE OF $1,000 OR THREE YEARS' IMPRISONMENT FOR TAMPERING WITH THIS BOX, CONTENTS OR LOCK."
