Sampler. A: Alphabet sampler, natural linen ground. Upper half has 3 alphabets stitched in cotton threads in shades of brown. "Eliza Ann Franklin Born 1807 Franklinville, Md". Lower half is pictorial with flowers and animals in bright modern threads in blues, greens, purples and browns. Marked "L.A.F, 1931" in black at lower proper left corner. 17.5" x 17.5". B: frame, wood with concave molding; 18.25"h x 21.5"w x 1.5"d.
