Susannah Root (b.1808 - d. 20 Feb 1841) grew up on the family farm near Johnsville. She married Ezra Buckey (b. 22 Oct 1803 - d. 31 Mar 1858) on 29 Feb 1829. They had six children: Margaret; George Peter; Richard Root; Sarah; Ephraim; and Daniel. Susannah is buried at the McCaffery farm, New London, Frederick County. After Susannah's death, Ezra Buckey married her sister, Ann (see sampler 81.1313.9). Susannah and Ezra's daughter Margaret made quilt 81.1313.3. Sampler inventory #S24.
