Thomas Krise Shaw (b. 19 June 1862 –d. 15 February 1922) established the store in the 1880s. The business was located at 46 West Main Street, at the intersection with John Street. Shaw operated the store until his death when it was taken over by Ralph Bonsack. Shaw's son - Thomas Shemwell Shaw [b.1898 - d.1976] attended Western Maryland College, graduating in 1918. Donor is Shaw’s grandson.
