Description

Daguerreotype. Mrs. Jacob Shriver's daughter, c.1845. Likely the daughter of Anna Eva Hupert Shriver (b. 1788 – d. 26 June 1866) and of Col. Jacob Shriver (b. 19 Dec 1779 – d. 15 October 1841). Seated; wearing a black and white figured stripe silk dress with matching pelerine, bonnet with flowers at each ear. Bracelets, ring, and necklace are highlighted in gold. Plate mounted in right side of case. Oval window in undecorated mat. Undecorated red cotton panel in left side of case. 4.625" x 3.625" x .5".
