The Jones sisters had a studio in their home on Springfield Avenue in Sykesville. Fannie (b. 1881) wrote the histories that accompanied many of their photos. Ida (b.1882) graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art and did the hand-tinting in oils. Elsie (b.1885) did the photography. Their earlier works are signed "Trois Soeurs" and the later ones are signed "Jones Sisters."
