Note

William Henry Starr (b. 1 January 1831 - d. 17 September 1900) was born in Uniontown District, Carroll County, MD; the son of John Norris and Rebecca Reindollar Starr; married Frances Sarah Currey (license issued on 27 November 1865); they had no children. Starr was a founder and first Treasurer of the Uniontown Bank in 1871. After moving to Westminster, he served as Secretary and Treasurer of the Westminster Savings Institution (Westminster Savings Bank) for 18 years and as a Trustee of Western Maryland College. Starr was the uncle of Mary Ada Starr Gehr, the donor’s grandmother. See supplemental file for more information.
