Note

The stereographs belonged to donor’s grandfather, Rev. John A. Earnest, who was pastor of Grace Lutheran Church in the 1870s. He also taught German at Western Maryland College. Donor’s mother, Alice, was the oldest child. She graduated from Western Maryland College at age 17 in 1877. Her uncle, Charles Earnest, was born in Westminster in 1871. Donor’s husband, Rev. Dr. John S. Hollenbach, was pastor of the Manchester Reformed Charge for 19 years.
