VISIT OUR WEBSITEFounded in 1960, the Historical Society of Hammonton is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the Town of Hammonton through a collection of documents, photographs, and artifacts. Located at 333 Vine Street in a building with its own historical significance, the museum provides insight into Hammonton’s social, economic, and political heritage. Our mission is to increase public access and awareness of Hammonton’s history through the collection, conservation, and promotion of our diverse heritage. We strive to engage the community with programs, oral histories, and a digitized collection to reach a broader audience. Funding has been made possible in part by the New Jersey Historical Commission, a division of Cultural Affairs within the Department of State, through funds administered by the Atlantic County Office of Cultural and Heritage Affairs.
