This is likely the correct orientation with the 1887 station closer to Deerpath. But would need a similar street view of Western Ave prior to 1904 to be sure.
Notes implies that there are two copies of this photo--one with "dirt throughout." But both 2002.320.4 and 2002.320.4 printed on modern photographic paper.
