Verso: looking toward Market Square from park on north side of main building. Hugh R. McCullough, a Chicago and North Western railroad official, vacationed in the north woods near Duluth. In 1893, he arranged for this boat, which had belonged to an Indian chief, to be brought by flat car to Lake Forest. It was hewn from a solid log, no seams or bolts.
