Chicago, Burlington & Quincy's (CB & Q) "Empire Builder" (en route from Chicago to St. Paul) detouring over the Milwaukee Road due to flooding of the Burlington's right of way along the E. bank of the Mississippi River between Savanna, Illinois & St. Paul. This train operated over the Milwaukee Road to Camp Douglas, Wis., thence over the Chicago & North Western (via Eau Claire) to St. Paul.
