Claire Jessen: "This was a photo from the Lake Forest Market Square Black Lives Matter protest in early June of 2020. The speaker, an amazing representative from the H.O.O.D. project, engaged the minds of hundreds of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff citizens as he told stories about all his organization has done and what still needs to be done. As pictured kneeled in front of a George Floyd painting, it symbolizes the strength of our community coming together to work towards a common goal of being the best and most equal society, no matter the color of our skin."Photograph Details
