Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad McKinley Road view from North Gate, Fort Sheridan near Old Elm Road. In the 1920s, road paving was a slow process compared to today's construction practices. On June 3, 1924, concrete was laid to Old Elm Road - construction of the intersection was still forthcoming. images are also on a CD (1982.3.1 - 1982.3.29)
