Description

Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad The only brick station built by the railroad on the Shore Line Route was in Lake Forest. This is another example of the city using the franchise agreement to extract civic benefit from the railroad. On January 9, 1924, we are looking north from Illinois Avenue at the parking lot that is now identified on City of Lake Forest maps as the North Shore parking lot. images are also on a CD (1982.3.1 - 1982.3.29)
