Description

Chicago, North Shore & Milwaukee Railroad Why a one year delay was incurred in constructing the road is unknown. What we now know is that what is now the Main Gate to the Fort Sheridan area was then referred to as the North Gate. On May 15, 1924, paving of the roadway was just about to begin. images are also on a CD (1982.3.1 - 1982.3.29)
