Text on back of picture: "Dr. Charles H. Quinlan home Lake Forest, Illinois 1859-1869. Built and occupied in 1859 by Dr. Quinlan, burned in 1869. Another home built there. First home built and occupied when Lake Forest formed by Dr. Quinlan and others from Chicago." From Howard Quinlan last survivor of the Quinlan family and his wife, Elizabeth. July 24, 1976.
