Description

Jennifer Randolph: "Three weeks ago, we read about nurses making face shields out of office supplies. We are in a unique position to help because we have a manufacturing company that produces plastic stencils. We shifted our resources to producing plastic face shields to help get our health care workers covered. Rather than being limited by the number of face shields we could produce at our factory, we created a kit for people to assemble at home. Many are shut in at home and feeling helpless, now they truly make a difference. This exponentially multiplies the number face shields we can make and therefore the # of health care workers we can protect. The City of Chicago and State of Illinois have set up centralized donation sites and are asking for millions of the face shields. We also had requests from Lurie’s Children's Hospital, the local VA Navy hospital, and various nursing homes. We are listing requests on our website so people know how to donate." "The photo above is of a doctor at the local VA Navy Hospital who received the face shield a couple days ago. He has requested 70 more for his colleagues. He told me “I was scared to go to work before, your face shield gives me confidence and peace, knowing that I am more protected”. He explained that across the country, health care workers are walking off the job because they aren’t protected. Our Mission is to protect as many people from Covid-19 as possible. Our goal is to get the word out across the country so that everyone can help. Simple: order the face shield kits, assemble, and get them to health care workers. https://www.stencilease.com/ " Below: photos from the Stencil Ease factory in Connecticut.
