An early view of St. Joseph Catholic Church on East Maple Avenue in Libertyville. St. Joseph was built in 1905 to replace Saints Peter and Paul Church on First Street. Saints Peter and Paul, Libertyville's first Catholic church, was destroyed by fire in 1904. This view shows St. Joseph's original steeple which was later struck by lightning and destroyed.
