6 East Laurel Avenue, at the northeast corner of Laurel and Green Bay Road. Alfred T. and Mildred Wells Carton estate. West-facing facade of the house (so looking east). Gardener Enoch Dunn is pushing a lawnmower across the grass in the yard. C. 1920s. Built in 1917-1918 - architect Chester H. Walcott, landscape architect James Roy West, with O.C. Simonds Landscape Design Enoch Dunn (1887-1944) was an English immigrant who worked for Alfred T. and Mildred Wells Carton as gardener and chauffeur at 6 East Laurel Avenue from at least 1919 to his death in 1944.
