Natalie Goeks: "This image displays a theme of sense of place, showing a graffiti art bus at Power Waukegan, an entertainment facility. A person wearing a mask walks along the bus, a connection to the position of the world today. During the photo shoot in which this image was taken, I met some of the staff of Power Waukegan. They were extraordinarily kind, allowing me to take pictures and going out of their way to help me. This center has built a community whose vibrancy can be seen through the colorful art on the bus. The community of staff is supportive and inclusive, building a friendly environment. The building Power Waukegan is located in has walls covered in beautiful graffiti art of many different styles which reflects the individuality of the artists. This photo is a snapshot of a fantastic place in the world today."
