Postcard view of Freeman Memorial Science Library, located on Lake Forest College's Middle Campus. Back reads, "Built in 1962 as a memorial to Dr. Thomas Oscar Freeman, the circular Science Library is part of the three-unit Science Center. It contains some 10,000 books and journals in the natural sciences and mathematics. A reading lounge is located on a mezzanine around the perimeter of the interior, while 17 individual study carrels are located on the outer edge of the stack area at ground level. The library is connted to the adjoining laboratory building by and underground passageway, while this unit is connected to the two-story classroom building by a glass bridge."
