Description

Sepia toned photo postcard of "Residence of Mrs. Chatfield-Taylor." The original Fairlawn house, at 965 E. Deerpath, was built for Charles B. Farwell, landscape by Frederick Law Olmsted and Frank Calvert When this photograph was taken Farwell's daughter, Rose Farwell Chatfield-Taylor resided here. Frederick Law Olmstead did the landscape architecture in the 1870s. This house burned 1920 and Fairlawn was rebuilt for Robert G. McGann and Grace Farwell McGann.
