Name/Title
Dinley Family "Memory Book"Entry/Object ID
2022.1.1Description
Black string-bound scrabook. Front cover is plain, and only has "My Memory Book" in the top left corner in gold lettering. Back cover is plain. There is no spine.
This book most likely belonged to Jean Dow Dinley of 266 Noble Avenue, Lake Forest. She, her husband, and their young daughter feature in many of the photos. Other subjects are likely friends and relatives.
All entries are photographs with the exception of the first, which is a introductory page which explains the purpose of the book. The rest of the pages are black construction paper, to which all of the photographs are glued. None of the photos has been given a caption. The book seems to span the first two decades of the 20th century.
There are several loose pages that were included with the book. They are of the same black paper, but are larger than the Memory Book. Some of these loose pages feature captions.Lexicon
