"#7: Gari Melcher oil of Arthur Aldis as a young man."
"#8: Oil, signed G. Hom, '69, Helen Lathrop. I've written about her earlier. Their house in Chicago was what is now The Fornightly Club. She summered in the Aldis house - her parent's place that she took aver after Asa and Miranda died (#9 & #10). It was an elaborate place that looked out over the Atlantic vegetable and flower gardens, guest cottages and some for domestics, at the end of Aldis Lane. She married Byron Lathrop and I've written about them both earlier."
