888 East Deerpath John V. Farwell Estate, 1869 Home of the sixth mayor of Lake Forest. John V. Farwell Sr. and Emeret Cooley Farwell One of the first cement structures in the United States. The material and the contractor used to build this house were imported from England. architect was George H. Edbrooke. The contractor was Leonard Double. 920 East Deerpath coachhouse renovated by David Adler; 855 Westminster, 921 Westminster, and 877 Westminster all part of original estate This is one of the oldest homes in Lake Forest. It is constructed of concrete, stone and wood. The second and third stories housed men from the armed forces and their families.
