Description

Two-story thatched Tudor residence constructed of stucco with wood half-timbering; hip roof on gable; and casement windows. Gerda Hansen Verbeke and Henrietta Prizmus are posing in front of the home, one of the women in a military uniform. The home was used as a residence for WAVES during World War II. Black and white photograph of 614 East Spruce from the 1940s. 550 East Spruce was the address before the estate was subdivided. Photo shows the facade of the Cyrus McCormick III manor house in the 1940s when James E. Baum was the owner of the home. Photo shows Gerda Hansen Verbeke and Henrietta Prizmus.
