David Grinnell: "These are two of probably a dozen pebbles I discovered during my walks. Someone seems to have painted them and left them at the foot of driveways around our neighborhood. Maybe telling her friends that she’s missing and thinking of them? Anyway, I thought they looked like Easter eggs and that the gesture was sweet. I remember when I was a kid, I would leave encrypted notes under rocks on the way to my bus stop (every 4th letter was the real letter that recipients would have to circle and decipher…so clever and subtle, huh, when we were going to see one another on the bus anyway?!) Just reminded me of those good old days."Photograph Details
