His parents, Harold Sr. and Edith (Rockefeller) McCormick built an estate they called Villa Turicum which covered 300 acres in far south east Lake Forest. Walden was built for Cyrus McCormick II on 80 lakefront acres just to the north. Cyrus McCormick III lived nearby in a house called Argyllshire, named after a region of Scotland."
