"Joseph Badenoch came to Chicago from Scotland in the 1850's. In 1907, five men wagered to see who could walk from Milwaukee to Chicago in under 60 hours. Joseph joined in for fun. A race judge declared the task impossible because of a blinding snowstorm. But 53 hours later, 59 year old Joseph Badenoch crossed the finish line. None of the other five completed the race."
