"Cochrane catches some fast ones: Mickey Cochrane, manager of the Detroit Tigers, pictured on the witness stand before the securities exchange commission Feb, 17. Cochrane was summoned to testify on stock manipulation charges against W.E. Hutton Company of New York. Cochrane was questioned about 1,000 snares of Atlas Tack stock which was purchased for him by a Hutton Employee. Cochrane told reporters, 'I didn't like that sort of questioning much. You can't tell when those lawyers are going to throw a hook at you. They've got a lot of stuff on the ball.'"
