Note
Notes: The hotel was constructed by Edwin King in 1905 by the Philemon Bryan family who had come to Fort Lauderdale in 1896 to oversee the construction of the railroad. Remained open as a hotel until 1955. From 1955-1972 it was used as city offices. First Broward County structure to be placed on the National Register of Historic Places (1972). Formerly the home to the Discovery Center (precursor to the Museum of Discovery and Science), today it is the home of the Fort Lauderdale Museum of History operated by the Fort Lauderdale Historical Society.Created By
