For years, the Sawgrass Expressway has been missing a segment to connect it from Florida’s Turnpike to I-95. This link is more than just a road; it’s a key piece of Broward’s regional community and economic vision. Gail Bulfin, Senior Vice President of the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance, a regional economic development organization, and Mayor Michael Udine of Broward County talk to us about community engagement that got the project moving again and what will be needed for future phases and other key regional transportation projects in Broward.
