Scope and Content
Magazine advertisement: Hamburg-America Line. Direct Service of German Mail and Fast Steamships. 1904 or 1905.
Single leaf removed from unknown publication, 6-1/2" x 8-3/4" high. Paper: overall or sheet watermark - single-headed eagle. All text is in English.
Inkstamped date on page: Apr 8 1905. Text in unrelated ad on reverse refers to 1904 event. Source stated publisher was Verlag von Georg Stilke [Berlin] and gave date as 1904. (The inkstamp suggests that this leaf was a "tear sheet" for proof of publication issued the publisher.)
Hoboken is not mentioned in any text in the ad, but it was the American home port for this line and and any listing for New York means Hoboken. Ad has a list of its major routes and types of voyages offered. Text is in notes.
