Advertisement: Captain Tootsie to the Rescue. (Sweets Company of America, Hoboken), no date, circa 1951-1955. Full-page color comic strip style ad published in unknown publication, page unknown; single leaf removed from publication, trimmed, 6-1/4" x 8-3/4".
The multi-panel strip promoted Tootsie Rolls which were made in Hoboken and the wrapped product plus Tootsie Pops are depicted in the ad. Artwork credited to Bill Schreiber.
The title is the same as archives 2011.005.0214, a version by C.C. Beck that preceded this one. The two stories are different.
An issue with the promotion for a ballpoint pen ("ten cents and two wrappers" for "a smooth-writing Ball-point Pen.")
