Description
Black-and-white photo of a man posed standing at a street curb dressed in ragged clothing for a political campaign, Hoboken, no date, ca. 1953. 8" x 10" high print. Reverse is blank.
The painted sign that he is holding at his feet reads: Don't let this happen to you! Vote Row D on May 9. If this is in Hoboken, it is probably on the west side of Washington St. The metal pole behind him is old and has had several coats of paint. It is likely a trolley wire pole.
