Description

Black-and-white photo of baseball player Jim Hannan posed in Washington Senators baseball uniform, no place, circa 1968-1970. 8" x 10" vintage print. Photographer not indicated. From The Jersey Journal newspaper morgue with editorial markup, inkstamp and attachment; no caption. Dating is based on the Senators "W" logo on the hat; this style was not used before 1968. Hannan was with this team through 1970. Hannan, James John was a native of Jersey City. As a high school student in Hudson County, he would have played some games in Hoboken during those years. This item is from records compiled for and used in preparation of activities for Hoboken Baseball Day 1996, the 150th anniversary of a noted game played in Hoboken. His photo present here may indicate he participated in some fashion. ---- press / publishing / publicity / player
