Description
Black-and-white photo of John J. Grogan (center) with Joe Dimaggio (left) and Paul "Skinny" D'Amato (right), no place (N.Y.C.?), no date, ca. 1950-1955.
Digital image only. Original image ca. 8" x 10" wide. Photographer not indicated. Reverse blank.
The photos behind the men suggest a bar - restaurant of the ilk such as Toots Shor or Jack Dempsey's, both in New York. At the upper right a man in a photo has been circled with pencil. Not identified, but he does resemble Frank Sinatra.
D'Amato was the owner of the 500 Club in Atlantic City from late 1940s through the early 1970s.
