Black-and-white photo of the carriageway at the head end of the North German Lloyd Line piers, Hoboken, 1914. 2-11/16" high x 4-7/16" wide. Holographic ink caption on the reverse: Hoboken, on our way to ship. (The ship referred to is probably the S.S. Saint Paul.) Remains of brown paper hinges from previous album mounting.
The view is south-southwest from an elevated position showing arriving and departing passengers to the piers on the left.. River Street is at the right. In the distance at the center is the Hoboken Land Improvement Company building.
