3/4" diameter pin button. Cream field with Eagan shield in blue and gold with griffin perched above.
Manufactured by the Whitehead & Hoag, Newark, N.J.
Printed paper insert inside back with union label and patent dates: Patented July 17, 1894. April [rest of date not present as paper is trimmed].
School was founded in Hoboken in 1903 by John J. Eagan and was located at 66 Hudson St. See objects 2014.001.0094 for a different button of same era.
