Cabinet photograph of Mabel Bolles of Hoboken, circa four-and-a-half years old, Hoboken, circa 1902-1903.
4-5/16" x 6-5/8" high mount. Photograph taken by The Vetter Studio, 301 First St., Hoboken, M. Paap, Manager (false gilt emboss lower front - right corner missing). Reverse blank except for inked numbers: 303.
In her memoir (archives 2014.055.0001), Mabel Bolles Sheehan (August 6, 1898-1976) recalled on page [1]: "Also there was the picture of me taken by Vetter [Studio] and I can remember how those patent leather shoes hurt me so, and how I had a very bad blister on my toe from them. I was probably five [years old] or less."
