Original printed paper label, full height, present; darkened and worn with some losses mostly at the top. Company name and address on front at bottom: R. B. Davis, Office: 90 West Broadway, Cor. [corner] Chambers Street, N.Y. This address is the Gerken Building at 90-92 West Broadway which was completed in 1899. (Whether Davis had offices in the previous building on the site, a railroad terminal that had an offices rented to business including a bank, has yet to determined, but it is unlikely as the terminal did not use a West Broadway address.)
On left side running vertically is the Hoboken address: Factory, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16 & 18 Jackson St., Hobok[en, N.]J.
Back has directions in four languages, from top: English, German, French and Spanish. This suggests this can was for export.Acquisition
