Description

Price-List Applying to General Catalogue 39th Edition, August 15, 1943. Enclosed in library 2009.006.0173, Catalogue of Keuffel & Esser Co., New York; General Office & Factories - Hoboken, N.J. 39th Edition; Interim Edition War Catalog. Issued August 1943. Booklet, 5" x 8" high, pp. [iv], 38. PDF on file. Tiffs media archive. Booklet is stored in the pocket of the catalog. The price list is notable in that it includes items not listed in the catalog (such as surveying equipment) and notes that some items are discontinued "for the duration." Because of government restrictions on paper and other materials during World War II, the catalog was shortened from previous ones; similar restrictions on materials made it difficult to have the metal, wood, etc., to produce their full product line for non-government or non-war service customers. K&E main office and factories were in Hoboken during this period. pamphlet
