Photo 2: view west from Fifth Street to Ninth Street with the Hudson River (not in view) at the bottom; most of the view is River Road and Stevens Institute of Technology campus including the the bottom left, the "Big John" (Building Technology Research Center) and a building used by campus maintenance at what was once the long pier, Pier 8.
