Description
Color photograph of a marching band on the football field at J.F.K. Stadium (Veterans Field), 10th and Jefferson Streets, Hoboken, no date, circa 1965-1975.
3-1/2" square print. Photograph by Donald "Red" Barrett. Reverse is blank. Image enhanced due to color shift and yellowing.
View is east from the grandstands which appear full in the section seen. Event was not prior to or at the halftime of a football game as the field does not have yardage markings on it for a game. Possibly a dediction ceremony or a competition. A police officer at the edge of the playing field and the man standing next to him are saluting apparently as colors (flags) are being presented.
