Description
Color photograph of Erie Lackawanna Railway passenger coach car 4316 at Hoboken, January 15, 1976.
35mm Kodachrome slide transparency. Photographer not indicated. Mount notations in pencil: Trailer 4316 Hoboken 1-15-76. Slide processor's date: Apr 76.
The general exterior condition of the coach car appears to be poor and probably was typical of the E-L older rolling stock at that time. The railway company had been in bankruptcy since 1972 and in April of 1976, it was taken over by the Consolidated Rail Corporation (Conrail.)
