Color slide of Marlon Brando & nine other men standing on pier set of the motion picture "On the Waterfront", Hoboken, no date, ca. late 1953-early 1954. 35mm transparency, horizontal image. Photographer and other provenance unknown. Mount has holographic ink number "(5)" and other notations.
Brando is third from the right. The other men, whether actors or crew, are not identified. Whether the police officer is real is not indicated. The view is looking east.
One of a group of 14 slides, 2001.098.0001 to 2001.098.0014, numbered on the slides 1 to 19 with numbers 7 to 10 and 16 missing. Whether this image is a candid or a posed 'still' is unknown. The image is in poor condition with severe fading and scratches. Image is available here as a black-and-white enhanced image and in its original condition. Appears to be in original cardboard mount which is imaged both sides for recording holographic notations and potential provenance determination.
