Description
Digital color image of an interior wall of the now-closed 19th Street PATH (Hudson & Manhattan Railroad) station in New York City showing advertisements in place at the time of the closing in 1954, ca. 1987. Reference print is on file. Photograph taken by John Bartelstone.
The passenger platform is probably the eastern (uptown) side. The ads are from an earlier time and presumably the ones pasted on top were peeled off. Seen is one for the defunct Herald Tribune newspaper and for Palisades Amusement Park in New Jersey.
