Digital image of photo of large group of young children on an unidentified Hoboken street carrying American flags, no date, circa late 1920's-early 1930s. Photographer is not known.
The children (including a group of African-Americans) are not formally assembled; one man is present at the center, possibly Hoboken Playgrounds director Julius Durstewitz. Probably part of a holiday celebration such as Memorial Day or Fourth of July. Note the curbside gas pump at the left.
