Digital image of photo of the Hoboken Playgrounds marching unit on Washington Street near Sixth Street, Hoboken, no date, circa 1938. Original image was ca. 4-1/2" wide x 2-3/4" high. Plus the black-and-white 70 mm nitrate negative of the same size as the print thus the print is possibly a contact print. Photographer not indicated (print made by the People's Studio.) Reverse has ink stamped processor's number: 29; also pencil notation "No Good." People are not identified.
The view is looking southwest. The marchers hold letters that appears to spell out "Playgrounds." The sign for the liquor store in the center background was Fair Wine which was at 538 Washington St.
